Spring semester lectures by Fulbright scholars

This spring semester, Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies will host two Fulbright Scholars from the US, giving lectures on the US and Latin American politics, international trade, economics and social justice.

Alfred Cuzan, Professor of Political Science at West Florida University (Florida), focuses on the US and Latin American politics, as well as the relations between the two regions. At the Skytte Institute, Professor Cuzan will be teaching two courses: Latin American Politics introduces both the historical and political development of the region as whole as well as different countries within the region; US Politics focuses on the constitutional, institutional, and political evolution and the contemporary functioning of the American system.

Charles Kroncke, Professor of Economics at Mount St. Joseph (Ohio), has published and taught extensively on business and labour economics and other areas. At the Skytte Institute, he will be teaching two courses: International Trade and Policy, which focuses on the implications of economic interdependence and international trade; and Economics and Social Justice, which discusses wealth distribution and inequality issues in the world.

All are welcome to attend the lectures; the registration in the SIS is open until February 7.
