Online course: Security in the Baltic Sea Region

We are happy to announce the launch of an online course as part of the continuing education offering by the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies, University of Tartu! The course is titled ‘Security in the Baltic Sea Region’, and has been designed as an introduction to ideas of security by focusing on this very interesting region.

What will you learn in this course?

We have gathered a number of speakers to present a series of lectures on different aspects of security. We present an introduction to the theoretical elements of security and to the Baltic Sea Region and its general security concerns. We then focus upon some more specific aspects of security, with lectures on elements of military security and on cyber security issues, and how these relate to the Baltic Sea Region. You can expect to learn about these fields, as well as familiarize yourself with literature from this academic area. If you have ever thought you would like to know more about this field, or are curious about the academic study of security, this is the course for you!

Please note thet the course begins on March 30 and is designed to run for six weeks, and can be claimed for 1 ECTS at the University of Tartu.
