The Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies invites you to the next event in our Election Analysis Series:

Italy’s General Election 2018: Veni, Vidi, Stalemate?

Europe’s fourth largest economy goes to the polls on Sunday 4 March under a new and untested electoral law, for a general election that most observers believe will result in a hung parliament with no outright winner. In a situation where the last pre-election opinion polls show 30-40% of undecided voters, the rise of anti-establishment parties, fiery immigration debate and weak economy are all likely to come into play in the final result. Lecturer Stefano Braghiroli will help make sense of Italy’s electoral outcome and reflect on what it means for the future of Europe more broadly.
