The University of Tartu senate’s decision not to admit new students from Russia and Belarus this year to bachelor’s and master’s studies has caused much controversy. The University of Tartu Senate’s address to the people of Ukraine
On 7 March 2022, the University of Tartu senate made an address to the people of Ukraine. We are publishing it in Estonian, Ukrainian and English. Tartu Ülikool mõistab tingimusteta hukka Venemaa Föderatsiooni kallaletungi iseseisvale Ukraina riigile. See on provotseerimata, inimõigusi jalge alla tallav, arulage ja jõhker agressioon demokraatliku ühiskonna vastu.
