Digital transformation is not only a technological shift. It is reshaping governance, security, democracy, and sovereignty. The Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies at the University of Tartu invites learners worldwide to join Digital Governance, Security, and Democracy — a free, five-week online course (MOOC) taught in English.

Adult learners are welcome to participate in micro-degree and micro-credential programmes starting in the autumn semester. The programmes are delivered in block mode or online, suitable for working people. Application to most programmes is open until 23 August.

The Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is an entirely online continuing education course which is free and open to all. The MOOC is generally in the amount of 1 ECTS (26 hours of student work) and lasts for 4 weeks. Learn more about the MOOCs provided at the University of Tartu here. A micro-credential programme is a comprehensive continuing education programme built around a coherent curriculum based on degree-level courses.

Adult learners are welcome to participate in micro-degree programmes starting in the spring semester to acquire an additional specialisation or competence in a narrow field. Applications can be submitted until 25 January.
