Panel on post-Soviet countries and Big Powers' Geopolitics

We are honoured to host experts from Motive International, a US based social enterprise and Woman-Owned Small Business within the framework of the course "Regional Integration in Post-Soviet Space". The panel would take place on the 2nd of May in Lossi 36, room 306.

Thursday, May 2, 16.00 - 18.00 panel on "Integration in Security Realm: post-Soviet countries and Big Powers' Geopolitics", Lossi 36-306
The panel will discuss tools and methods to assess systems of authority in contested environments and practical implications related to the post-soviet context and beyond. Specific attention will be devoted to revitalizing the resistance in a time of political and economic warfare, thereby looking at dimensions related to civil society, market actors, and geo-political competition.

Ms. Morgan G. Keay is the CEO and Founder of Motive International, a Washington, DC-based social enterprise and Woman-Owned Small Business with a mission to mitigate conflict and enhance stability and sustainability in fragile societies around the world. A social entrepreneur, global strategist, and former diplomat, Morgan has held senior- level positions in the public, private, and civil society sectors, and has served in all “3D” U.S. foreign affairs agencies: Department of State, Department of Defense, and USAID.

Dr. Salamah M. Magnuson is a conflict management, counter violent extremism, and peacebuilding subject matter expert. She has served in the U.S Government, private sector, and non-governmental/nonprofit sectors tackling complex security, stabilization, countering violent extremism (CVE), and disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration (DDR) missions. Salamah has lived overseas and worked in fragile and conflict-affected contexts for 13 years in 10 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, and Central and Southeast Asia.
