Registration is open for the e-course “Diffusion and impact of internet voting” which focuses on Estonia's successful e-voting experience and gives practical skills for evaluating the impact of internet voting for public policy development. The course is free of charge, and upon successful completion, a certificate of 2 ECTS from the University of Tartu will be provided.
This five-week course on Estonian e-voting experience will show you how to interpret findings from internet voting studies and translate them into policy recommendations. You will be able to evaluate the diffusion and impact of internet voting, design research projects for related topics, and better understand human behaviour regarding e-voting.
The course has been developed by the team of ECePS ERA Chair of e-governance and digital public services at the University of Tartu that seeks to scrutinise and explain how improving the use of digital tools can bring government closer to citizens. This includes academic and applied research into topics such as internet voting systems, building trust in e-services, analysis of social trust, and acceptance of new e-governance technologies.
