Police confirm that bomb threat to the University of Tartu is a hoax

Politsei ja Piirivalveamet andis kell 9.15 teada, et täna öösel saadeti mitmekümnele Eesti asutusele, sh koolidele ja lasteaedadele meili teel venekeelne pommiähvardus.

“There was a similar wave of bomb threats in Latvia a few days ago. The police currently believe that this large-scale wave of spam emails is aimed at disrupting the work of institutions. The police are in contact with the institutions that have received this letter and are working to identify the persons behind the threat," said Heigo Reinek, Leading Missions Officer of the Police and Border Guard Board.

Studies at the University of Tartu continue as usual.
