Summer School “Transition Stories: Reasons and Consequences”
Sixteen undergraduate students from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, US take part in a summer school “Transition Stories: Reasons and Consequences“ from June 26 – July 7 in University of Tartu.
The summer school is focusing on political, security and intelligence issues in Baltics and in particularly related to Russia and NATO. Among other important topics the students are getting general overview of cyber security and Estonian experience of cyber defence.
The Americans are staying in Estonia for almost three weeks, and while the classroom studies are based in Tartu, they will also have study trips to Narva, Tallinn and Helsinki. There they will have different meeting and visits, such as visit to the MFA and meeting with Mrs Marina Kaljurand , the Chair of the Global Commission on the Stability of Cyberspace; or visit to the Embassy of the United States and meeting with the Deputy Chief of Mission Ms Elizabeth Horst.
The summer school is organized by the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies in cooperation with the Institute of Computer Science and the Baltic Defence College.
