The Skytte Institute welcomed Jo Lomas, the new British Ambassador to Estonia

How have relations between the United Kingdom and Europe evolved since Brexit? What does a diplomat’s day-to-day work look like, and what skills does the role require?

These were among the topics discussed by Jo Lomas, the new British Ambassador to Estonia, during her visit to the Skytte Institute. She met with students on the “EU Institutions and Policy-making” course and answered their questions.

Although she has been in Estonia for only a few months, her diplomatic career spans decades. Her previous roles include serving as the UK Government’s Commonwealth Envoy, High Commissioner to Rwanda, and non-resident Ambassador to Burundi.
