MEP Kaja Kallas gives a public lecture at the Institute
On Monday, 30 October Ms Kaja Kallas, Estonian member of the European Parliament, will visit the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies and give a public lecture entitled “EU2017.ee – How is Estonia contributing to the shaping of the future of Europe”.
The event is aimed to highlight Estonia's contribution to the debate on the future of Europe, especially in the light of the European Commission's White Paper. Particular attention will be devoted to the role of the current Estonian Presidency of the Council of the EU and the challenges faced in terms of European integration and deepening and widening.
The lecture takes place on 30 October at 12:15 at Lossi 36-306 and will be moderated by Dr Stefano Braghiroli.
Ms Kaja Kallas is a member of the Reform Party in Estonia and belongs to the ALDE Group in the European Parliament. The news agency Politico ranked her among the 40 MEPs who actually matter in 2016 as a result of her work on the Parliament’s opinion on the digital single market.
