Beginning of a new academic year in Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies

Dear Skytte students and colleagues,

The University of Tartu opening ceremony of the 2025/2026 academic year will take place at Pirogov Square on Monday, 1 September 2025 at 10.00.

Our whole institute is having a more informal gathering for all our students and staff members on the same day at 16.00 - 18.00 in the open air at Ula bar backyard (Vallikraavi 23, just a few hundred meters from our house at Lossi 36). The institute will serve light snacks. Please dress according to the weather!

To all of our first-year MA students, we are glad that you chose to proceed with your studies at our institute. We will greet you in person at Lossi 36 on Monday, the 1st of September, to start the academic year. There are several events during the day at Skytte Institute to ensure a truly smooth and pleasant start of your studies.
