The Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies at the University of Tartu, in collaboration with partners from the Erasmus+ project Alliance for Community Engagement in European Higher Education (ACE), is organising the official launch event of the ACE Alliance. The event will take place on September 17 from 10:00 to 12:00 at the University of Tartu Library Conference Centre (W. Struve 1, room Kodavere).

The ACE Alliance has been established as part of the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership project Alliance for Community Engagement in European Higher Education, coordinated by Lodz University of Technology (Poland).

The event will mark the official launch of the Alliance for Community Engagement in European Higher Education, a new Europe-wide network bringing together higher education staff and community partners interested in strengthening collaboration between universities and society.

The programme will introduce the vision and objectives of the ACE Alliance and explore the role of community engagement in higher education from both strategic and practical perspectives. Participants will hear examples of community engagement in practice, as well as perspectives from the Alliance's founding members on what they hope to achieve through the network.

The event will also introduce the ACE Platform, a digital space designed to support collaboration between higher education institutions and community partners. The event will also mark the official release of the Guide to Forming University-Community Alliances.

The event will conclude with information on how to become a member of the ACE Alliance, access its resources and participate in upcoming activities. The detailed programme of the event can be accessed via this link.
