2-day seminar on online education
The Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies is holding a 2-day seminar "Learning to Te(a)ch: Unlocking the Potential of Online Education", on November 7-8.
The seminar is open to both academic and administrative/management staff from different units of our University, who are involved in online learning and teaching or interested in it, as well as a representation of the students.
The event focuses on three key components: 1. Increase awareness about the benefits of online content and its use in academic curricula; 2. Diversify methods of online learning; 3. Exchange best practices in learning innovation and networking on campus and with external partners.
The seminar represents a great opportunity to discuss the state of digital education at UT and contribute to define our future vision. During the two days, the interaction and informal discussion between academic, administrative staff and students will provide the fertile ground for creative brainstorming and innovative thinking in the field of online education.
In addition to the seminar’s discussion, participants will have the chance meet the expert from the Leiden University’s Online Learning Lab and to learn from the experience of the centre, which uses such contemporary project management tools as Rapid Prototyping, Design Thinking and Agile Project Management; as well as experiments with augmented reality technology in designing their online learning content.
